The focus of this paper is on the role of communication in forging organisational development. The meaning and importance of communication were explained and model of communication clearly highlighted to show the flow of communication as it enhance development with different perspectives analyzed. General reasons for communication were explained in this study and how communication works was clearly narrated. Based on the issues discussed, the paper recommended that; communication should be explored appropriately to reach various segments of the participating members in organizational development; dialogue and discussion in communication with relevant stake holders should be explored extensively in promoting meaningful organizational development; there should be regular communication with leadership in the organization; there should equally be regular communication with the various segment in organizations to elicit collective action and participatory involvement of members.
